Using an Electric Vacuum Pump for Dry Food at Camp

For camping or a day outdoors, collecting nuts, crackers, and other dry foods in one container can make the luggage easier to organize. Check both the vacuum container and electric pump before leaving home.

What to keep in mind

Make sure the food and the inside of the container are dry. Keep fine powders and moist foods away from the valve area, and do not pack beyond the container’s capacity.

Before and after use

Place the container on a stable table and confirm that every side of the lid is closed. Center the electric pump over the valve and operate it according to the product instructions. Remove the pump before transport.

A quiet fit for everyday cooking

After returning home, empty the container and wash the lid, valve area, and washable parts. Care for the pump according to its instructions and let every part dry fully before storage.
